I don't automatically agree with him. I think he could have chosen to express his view differently, but why should he apologise? Because some one or some group took offence? Tough! Live with it and move on. Just because he said it doesn't make it true and we need to accept that some people have views we don't like. That's part of civilisation, democracy and the respect for free speech. To my mind it shows a higher level of culture to accept that he said, disagree certainly but move on.
