Netanyahu is encouraged by the fact that some of his critics are starting to cast doubt on the deal, and even to echo his arguments against it.17:39 30.07.15 | 0 comments
Currently Israel feels priveleged to dictate the terms of any peace. Being propped up by a super power has its advantages. Between Israel and America on one side and the Palestinians on the other, the stronger two nations will likely impose an unfair and coerced peace upon the Palestinians if there is any peace at all. If this happens, it will not be the end of the story. This struggle has very long legs and will be with us as long as there are Israelis and Palestinians. As weapons get better, wars will get shorter. Before long, a war might be over in a day. At that point, the IDF, the IAF, the 300 F-16's, the nuclear arsenal, the Israeli navy, and the American military establishment won't have an opportunity to play a part until after the outcome has already been decided. That is where we are headed. Both America and Israel have the idea that you can kill your way to peace. Good luck with that theory.
