Israel is one of the few countries where attacking the government automatically makes one an 'anti-semite'. There was a similar trend in the US after 911, where the slightest criticism of Bush's policies made one 'anti-American' or 'unpatriotic', fortunately the US has outgrown that phase (mostly). By lumping in those who deplore Israel's treatment of the Palestinians with Neo-Nazis who actually do hate Jews, the term 'anti-semite' has truly lost all meaning. It has simply become a way to try to scare all critics into submission, as was the case after 911.
