New generations of people around the world are growing up with civil rights leaders as heroes - Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela - people who fought against discrimination and for equal rights. As long as Israel identifies itself in terms of ethnicity - with 'Jewish-ness' at it's core, it stands in stark contrast to these ideas. Inevitably, it will become increasingly isolated and seen in 'pariah' terms. Unless change happens, people need to get used to this.
