As for Syrian missiles.....I doubt very much Syria has been able to kep their quantity, range and general capability all THAT secret. Perhaps it's no public info, but I suspect Israel AND the US know more about the Syrians missiles and capabilities than the other way round. Iran cannot defeat Israel with missiles alone, especially with the numerous problems they have been having with the inventory they currently have. Heck, 50% of their test firings have been dismal failures. I'd pit Israeli commandos against Iranian commandos any day. Add to this Israel has a capable fleet of subs. Israeli planes are not the run of the mill American F15 and F16's. While Israel doesn't manufacture it's own fighter jet, it has the capability to do so. Heck, I bet they still have the Lavi plans stored away for future needs. No, Syria is NOT a good middleman...they are an instigator, not a peacemaker. Mark-
