West Bank -- Easy. IDF should keep doing what its been doing: tough controls on what flows in, tough checkpoints, and NO "safe passage" from Gaza, a guaranteed Kassam transfer route. Not now, not ever. Tell Bush to get screwed on his "timelines" (which he didn't want for his Iraq plans), and his "contiguous state" demand, which PA needs only for war. Gaza -- Shut off the flow into Gaza of everything that makes Kassams possible: no electricity, no granulated sugar, no pipes of any kind, no nitrate fertilizer. Gaza has to import everything used to make Kassams. We're talking hundreds of thousands of pounds/year of Kassam components. Don't resume the flow of stuff without a verifyable means of insuring destruction of Kassam factories and stockpiles. What do you think the US would do if threatened with rocket fire from, say, Cuba -- read a history book. Kennedy blockaded Cuba and told Russia to get screwed. The rockets went away. Problem is lack of will to do it. The means are obvious.
