Of course the Hamas people are guilty in this conflict. This, however, does not mean that we (Jews/Israelis) are not. Mainly, we cannot keep a territory, yet deprive its inhabitants of citizenship. It is just wrong. I know very well that there is antisemitism, and that the anti-Israeli crowd are also antisemites (ninety percent of them speak of "Zionists" ruling America, of Jews being responsible for all wars, etc.). But we have an obligation to ourselves to treat people well, regardless how they treat us. For instance, if a black person in the States commits murder, he is not less guilty, because there is racism. You can have both, racism, and a guilty black person. This where we are now: we are being hated, just as always; however, we have betrayed our own humanistic heritage. Not because we want to live in the Holy Land, I have no problem with the "settlers" - if they want to live there, let them. But because we sentence every Pal child to some non-citizenship, below-man status.
