There is nothing in Jewish law against using modern technology. Ultra Orthodox are in general a very insulated community yet they still have a very rich and vibrant culture. In order to protect their values and way of life they are careful which cultural outside influences they let in but it has nothing to do with technology. Part of cultural diversity isn't only having all cultures mix, but also preserving cultures and ways of life that may differ from our views. I hope this answer is useful.
