I understand the underlying economic factor that you explained because we have had a problem like this here, but shouldn’t the government take action to build for the underclass? It is not possible for me to judge what is happening in your country, which I have never visited. But here in Canada social housing has been successful in side- stepping individual concerns regarding prices and the amenability of the neighborhood. Where there is a mix of social housing and upscale market housing, there has not been a serious decline in property prices, and there has been a laudable decline in the poverty-related problems that are often experienced in poorer dwellings.
