As one who has opposed the occupation and been working for peace since the days of Breira in the 1970s, I respectfully disagree. Had the Palestinians called for massive non violent civil disobedience like Ghandhi and King, much of the Israelis would have supported the goal of creating a Palestinian state alongside of Israel. Instead of a Bibi who values pieces of land over creating a land of peace, Israel would have produced another Rabin or even Beilin in the P.M.'s office. Instead, the resorting to violence has been very counter-productive. There is more than enough blame on all sides to go around that has prevented a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
