I personally heard Bill Clinton state that Arafat scuttled the peace process. In fact, does Khalidi mention as does Dennis Ross in his book -- who was there; Khalidi wasn't -- the shock the Americans and Israelis experienced when Arafat wouldn't even admit the holiest site in Judaism - the Second Temple - was built in Jerusalem and that the al Aqsa Mosque was built on top of it? How can you satisfy anyone someone living in such willful delusio?
