having grown up in california, i've known many muslims and jews, many arabs, iranians and israelis. i've never seen there be animosity between them. most are great friends, patronizing each other's restaurants, shopping at each other's shops, relying on each other in difficult times, ... during the big earthquake in '94, arabs went in to rescue the jewish neighbors, jews would run inside crumbling homes to rescue muslim elderly and children, israelis would be carrying iranian neighbors, muslims would be taking food and candles to jewish neighbors... so the hatred is purely the result of occupation and aggression and government policies, not intrinsic to race or religion. therefore, it can be undone by more just and humane policies.
