maybe there are two balances: (i) the balance between israeli left and right (ii) the balance between israeli left and their counterparts in "palestine". ad (i): their handling in israel seems indeed very unbalanced. ad (ii): where are the palestinian leftist-groups standing up, saying "yes, we recognize israel and want to live peacefully next to it", or "yes, the temple mount belongs to the jews", "yes, jerusalem is the jewish capital, and just because a lot of muslims are living there, doesnt make it ours". --> so, where are those "palestinian"-leftist/peace organizations, gideon ? there are none ? is there even a handful people in "palestine", which is willing to accept a state of israel ? have you met them ? where are they ? do they have a website, too ? why do you israeli-"left" never question that there is no "palestinian-left", but only an extreme right im not saying, because of a non-existent palestinian-left there should be no israeli-left, but imo, this imbalance in (ii) causes the imbalance in (i).
