Time passes, sanctions, talk of sanctions, threat of military action and Iran continues to pursue its goal to become a nuclear power. Inconveniently, Iran also continues to be an NPT member and act within the rules laid down by the NPT. Russia has built a nuclear reactor in Iran and is to deliver the best missile defense system in the world. China enjoys the steady and secure supply of oil supplied by Iran. If sanctions and threats do not work, is it not time to consider alternative policies? WIth all the military, economic, technical, political and diplomatic resources of the US, that state could not stop North Korea becoming a nuclear power. Time to face reality with regard to Iran and try to plan how to deal with a nuclear Iran?
