Was the speech at John Hagee's Christian Zionist extravaganza on Monday also not meant to embarrass Biden, or to flout the efforts at peace talks? Netanyahu and Mayor Bartak spoke in person at the CUFI event and Netanyahu pointed out that both Michael Oren and Daniel Ayalon were in attendance. There has been little mainstream press on this event which is remarkably similar to Netanyahu's actions in D.C. in 1998. Before going to meet with President Bill Clinton, Netanyahu spoke to hundreds of Christian Zionists who had been assembled by Jerry Falwell and John Hagee. Hagee led the crowd in shouts of "not one inch." After all these years does Netanyahu really not understand what Hagee means when he had the audience repeat, "Lord, save your people, the remnant of Israel?" Read his books and the media of other CUFI leaders. Hagee is talking about saving Jews from Judaism, not Muslims.
