    Prophet Muhammed started spreading his religion from Medina, a Jewish town, by first killing its Jews: 700 men and taking their wives and children to his slaves and mistresses. In 630 he took power over Mecca, that was his hometown. Next he set off to conquer all of the Arabian Peninsula with the help of his supportes, by a sword and forced conversions as he offered only two options: "die or convert". The Prophet died in 630 at the age of 62. His father-in-law, the father of his child-wife Aisha, Abu Bakr became Prophet Muhammed's follower and he had big plans for the future in his head. He set his eyes on Persia,and on the Bysantic states in order to spread Islam there and to submit them under his rule. The Arabs and the Romans clashed in Gaza in 640, where the Romans fled from under the way of the fierce Arab fighters forcing their way in. That marks the start of the Arab invasion of the Holy Land.
