There is an error. The sanctity of a synagogue in the Land of Israel cannot be undone. There could not have been any ceremony "removing" the sanctity. Only synagogues outside the Land of Israel can undergo such a process. In addition, the legal principle that the Temple Mount is in someway outisde jurisdiction ("the High Court ruled that Israeli courts do not have the authority to discuss whether the right to prayer can be implemented at holy sites altogether") is wrong. Some judges have accepted the principle that prayer is justiciable however all have created a "sensitivity" principle, that the site is much too "sensitive", in other words, Muslims will riot. That's now the sole reason they ban prayer.
