State says nobody has a right to sell the drafts on the open market for a profit, as this infringes on the state's right to keep an asset 'of deep symbolic significance' that belongs to the state and the public.01:40 27.11.15 | 0 comments
"Ehud Olmert appealed to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas early Wednesday to enter into negotiations over the permanent borders of Israel" - Haaretz The Olmert regime is starting with a nice turnaround. Abbas is no longer "irrelevant" but a Partner for Peace! What took Olmert so long? I think previously he gave the first response of a Likudnik, hardline rejectionism and blindness to better possibilities. It is of course preferrable to be able to see the future sooner, but at least Olmert can change his mind later on. It is a good quality in a man not known to have many of these. What about FM Livni, can she show even belated good sense? This remains to be seen. Perhaps Labor will save us from this uncertainty by getting the Foreign Ministry and returning Livni to Justice. So far she hasn't shown even a tiny amount of talent in the statesmanship area. Things are already looking more promising.
