One can see programs like these on Israeli TV. One cannot see such programs on Palestinian TV. Therein is major difference. One can find TV shows which indoctrinate children into 'death martyrs,' racists and bigots. While the one part accepts free speech, they other cannot. Yes, every people have a right to protest inequality and injustice whenever they feel it has been perpetrated. But the ideology of violence, intolerance, and repression toward women is one of death and negativity. It can never have serious partners amongst the living. . It can never participate in a doctrine of peace. I cannot understand that a somewhat intelligent woman cannot understand that as obvious and a core component which must be addressed before people can accept each other, make peace, work together and build lasting and co-operative societies along side each other. The envy of Ishmael must be laid down and parted with. Women have to have a hand in the running not only of their homes but of State, and the infrastructure of the Arab society, needs the gentle hand of a mother before it will be able to react with reason. The injustice WITHIN needs to be adressed, to ever be credible in addressing the injustices around one.
