As the only Western Democracy in the Middle East, Israel is not only an Ally and friend of America but also plays a vital role in maintaining America's national interests in the region. There is no point trying to be condescending on Israel as if Israel is a colony of America and that it only exists because of America's funding. The fact is long before America came into existence in the 17th and 18th century, Israel was already in existence since the time of their forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob 4000 years ago. While other ancient civilizations had disappeared in the dustbin of history, the Jews survived to this day despite the Inquisitions, persecutions, the Holocaust, Arab Islamist-Jihadist wars of annihilations and terrorisms. The funds that Israel gets from America are loans which they are paying back. Hence, don't overblow such funding as if without it Israel will disappear. What about the billions of dollars that America gives the Arab states?
