Jews have migrated and prospered throughout the world. The USA has been particularly accommodating. Our values have become the values of many Americans and mirror most of the values that represent Obama's policies. We stand for social justice. Our future is not anchored to a piece of land. It is not anchored to a nation. Our future is what we make of it and how we live a Jewish life. For that reason, we must look critically at the actions of current Israeli leadership. Rabin had a vision for peace. The settlers destroyed Rabin and destroy his vision every time they displace a Palestinian family or impose some other indignity. It was Olmert and Livni that were on the verge of fulfilling Rabin's vision. All that has been dumped on the garbage heap by Netanyahu. We need to be proactive in supporting those Israelis that will work for peace and social justice.
