comment! that is an understatement. i could write a book! i am 1st gen of holocaust survivors (not many of my families actually did survive); my mother has passed down the oral "history" to me, i don't have to read in some propaganda history book. i KNOW what actually happened to our people and my families. it is not a pretty picture. even though i live in the US, i am a total zionist. after all karl marx was one of my relatives from the 1800's! my viewpoints, no matter how "radical" they may seem are more like an israeli than an american. the jewish in america are so totally out of touch with our homeland it is a crying shame. sure, they will put up an israeli flag in the shul, but they have absolutely no idea that that actually stands for. because of this total disconnect, i have no desire to become a member of the american shul. sorry my people were from eastern europe and an area once called galacia.. the jewish in america, as far as i am concerned, are living in some la-la land. either they don't know or have deliberately forgotten.. would any of them be willing to join the IDF and give their lives for OUR HOMELAND! it is really a very sad reality. they simply don't understand the history of our people over the centuries, or just don't care. if we forget our own history, we will only be doomed to repeat it. wasn't treblinka alone ENOUGH!! get a life. this total disconnect is one of my primary reasons to return home and relocate to tel-aviv. hel-lo. the jewish in america need a major wake-up call. anyone one on the other line? good luck.
