It is too bad that you don't live in Israel; we have learned to live with and often love all of the peculiarities that differentiate us and which make us vulnerable to criticism just like anyone else; even when we are angry at this or that person or point of view. Once you move here, you wonder why you ever thought you had it so good in the US. It is the only place that being a Jew, any kind of Jew, actually makes sense.
