America's relationship with Israel is too costly. It invigorates our enemies without giving us a lot in return. Also, Israel's treatment of the West Bank is essential colonial, which violates our core principles and undermines the international institutions we set up after World War 2 to keep the peace. And the de-facto siege of Gaza has no endgame. Everyday it seems less like security and more like cruelty. As the US deals with its own problems with terrorism and budgets, the political and financial capital spent on Israel seems more waseful every day.
