Jews are followers of Judaism - religions do not have homelands. No follower of any religion has any right to any land anywhere in the world - never did and never will. The colonial war which established a new nation on the land of Palestine was and is no different to the war which established the United States. The only defence Israel has is as a coloniser, like all the others and like all the others, Israel must either establish one secular state with equal rights for all or two separate states on pre:67 borders or whatever borders it can negotiate with the indigenous Palestinians. Israel may then choose to have a religiously defined State which discriminates against those who are not members of the Jewish religion but it will not be a democracy and it will remain reviled by the free world. The mistake which Israelis continue to make is trying to define themselves by a religion when of course, even in borderless Israel, nearly a quarter of Israelis are not Jewish anyway. You can defend a nation called Israel and you can negotiate for legitimate borders but there will never be any rights conferred as the result of religious belief.
