Angry journalists, who initially boycotted the session, describe subcommittee's claims to be part of a 'witch hunt,' and slam Israel's 'authoritarian' efforts to clamp down on the media.14:27 09.02.16 | 2 comments
I understand that Olmert's plan for complete separation from the palestinians is the only practical plan to settle Israel's boundaries. There must be a substantial Jewish majority in order for israel to be viable. You are however, demonizing the settlers in such a condescending way that they sound worse than the homicide bombers who have attacked Israel's heartland. Your "objecive" analysis of the settlers motives and goals are uncalled for. Remember the settlers were originally encouraged by a Labor government under Levi Eshkol and Moshe Dayan. Later generous tax inducements led to increasing the settler population. Israel must do what Olmert is proposing but don't kick the settlers in the teeth more than they deserve.
