Let the facts speak for themselves. By invading Iraq Bush insured that Iraq, a majority Shiite country (recall that Iran is also Shiite) into a satellite of Ahmadinejad. Then it was all about damage-control. Sunni Iraq (the Arab countries bordering Iraq are all Sunni) was the only roadblock to Iran threatening Arab oil. From there it was all down hill. Seven years later Bush wants to withdraw, but can't because of Iran-backed insurgents. So gives Ahmadinejad prestige of a State Department interest section in Teheran in exchange for Iran muzzling Sadrist insurgents in Baghdad. Tiny Surge is successful! US won, just in time for election he declares troops coming home! That was 2007-8 Bush. 2009 Obama. Kyrgyzstan warns may not allow US use of Afghan resupply airbase. Obama asks Iran to use their airspace to resupply. US needs Iran because committed to two unwinnable wars. Stupidly decided nuclear Iran not that bad. In end promotes nuclear arms race in Arab world. Dumb and Dumber

IfNotNow doesn’t deserve the support of left-leaning American Jews

IfNotNow and its co-founder Simone Zimmerman challenge U.S. Jews to end the occupation. But they won't answer this basic question: Do you support a Jewish and democratic state in Israel, alongside a Palestinian state? And if not, why not?
