Howdy Allen; As the price of oil per barrel increases, alternative sources for energy become more competitive. The technology already exists for battery-operated vehicles within certain limits provided that one doesn't plan to travel across the Mohave Desert at 70 MPH, hydrogen-powered vehicles which are prone to be being blown up like the Hindenburg in the case of an accident, or methanol which can be produced from sugar cane, corn, and other plants. The age of Arab dominance of cheap energy sources for the West is on its last legs. They are slowly pricing themselves out of the market. Perhaps this is why the Islamofascists are so desperate to press the issue now before the West can develop cost-effective alternatives. The conclusion is clear: within 20 years, the Arabs and the Persians will be eating sand and drinking petroleum because nobody will pay a dime for it. I hope that I live long enough to see it.
