I agree that the war must be investigated, and that the directives that were given to the soldiers must be verified for legality and for consistency with the Israel's security requirements and the minimization of damage to Lebanon's civilians. But the IDF was not targeting civilians, not with cluster bombs or other bombs or anything. In Darfur hundreds of thousands have died over the months, and this is from bands of gun-toting maniacs who ARE targeting civilians. Let's all show some humility so that our criticism of Israel's policies will have the force of reason behind them. The truth is that Israel should not have tried to destroy an organization made up of civilian-soldiers and supported by the civilian population.
