This rabbi is a bigot, and an idiot, but he is also a lost cause i.e. no amount of protesting is going to change his world-view. But he isn't **just** a bigoted Rabbi with a closed mind; he is **also** the "spiritial leader of Shas". So the IMPORTANT question that comes out of this is: Does Shas Share The Opinion Of Its Spiritial Leader On This Issue? Yet as far as I can see not one person is posing that question to Eli Yishai. Why not, guys? Is he untouchable, or are you just too lazy to ask?
