One should not over read the one upmanship of raucous Congressional ovations, it is the equivalent of kissing babies. With the Republicans rapidly backpedaling from UBL, Ryan's Medicare fiasco, yawn inspiring 2012 candidates and now NY-26 loss, they needed a victory with what they think is a winning local political strategy. Under the watchful eyes of AIPAC and the Right Wing Kochtopus, the Democrats tried to outjump the GOP to its feet. Meanwhile, on the ground, resentment of the disproportional influence of lobby groups, money, tiny minority and the realization that Israeli policy is not in the American interest grows. One can feel the momentum shift against tails that wag the dog. Our distracted eyes at least on the West Coast flick back to the 300 times larger Chindia.
