This is a magnificent expression of a fundamental truth. The bi-national state is already a reality; the problem is that it is an apartheid state. That is a tragic outcome for Zionism as well as for the Palestinians. What is needed is a state in which the rights of the Hebrew-speaking nation and the Arabic-speaking nation are protected by a constitution that recognizes the very legitimate national interests of both peoples, but does not privilege any religion.
