I listen here in the United States to al-Jazeera and FOX News Channel. The Arab network is by far more balanced and fairer to Israel and the United States than FOX is to Arabs, Muslims (including innocent hard-working American Muslims), and even to U.S. liberals (including myself). Most of those who criticize al-Jazeera do not understand Arabic. The only thing that it should stop doing is calling a suicidal terrorist Shahid (marty), although it used to interview Israeli spokesmen and miniters to desrcibe such attacks as terrorist. Al Jazeera has made it difficult for Arab dictators to monopolize news delivery, which they use to promote their own cult of personality. The Pentagon's problem with this network is not that it makes up news from Iraq (it clearly does not), but that it allows Arabs (particularly during war) to see the civilian casualty of war. However, if Arabs do not see these images on this network they will see on the internet and via other satellite tvs.
