Certainly there has always been anti-Semitism but it would not be too far off the mark to say that any upsurge in anti-Semitism must be blamed on Israeli actions against Palestinians and Lebanese. After World War 2 there seemed to be a tremendous sympathy for Jews who had suffered so under Naziism. But Israel has squandered much of that good will had its actions continue to erode that good will. One day, if there is not a turn around, that good will will be gone.
