Alan, First of all, Stalism was hardly Communism...you know your post made me think of something someone said, if the state controls the economy its communist, if the corporations do, its fascism. Although it is true that millions died chasing this noble ideal, of equality and egalitarianism, million have also died in order to expand capitalist interest. Now that most of the world is turning to this Capitalist ideology of immediate gains, the environment will surely suffer (it is already), wars will be waged for natural resources and capitalist gains (killing millions) while the concentration of wealth within the united states goes global, further consolidating wealth and power...leading to fascism. Remember there was an intricate connection between the Third Reich and Corporations.
