Akiva also wants to give away the Galilee to Syria, where Israel gets like 30 percent of its water. The Golan was never part of Syria before 1946. The Golan was part of the original British Mandate borders of 1917. The British gave the Golan to the French in 1923 and the French gave it to Syria in 1946.
