I am all for aid for people who set out to help themselves, to better themselves, and for a period of time they need assistance: funds to be invested in agricultural planting, industrial production, tourism, mining, and of course, education. My three questions to Carter and like minded people: 1) What have the Palestinian Arabs done with the aid given to them for many decades? 2) Shouln't the rich Arab countries assist the three million people part, and only part of whose life-long aid has been interupted? 3) How many more much larger and poorer communities are there around the world for which Carter may assist, and he does not? And, perhaps a 4th question, after all, why to obsess about the Palestinian Arabs? Would Carter do so if the State of Israel were not in the picture. I suspect not.
