Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says talks with Israel at very advanced stage; sides due to meet again in mid-May.20:39 30.04.16 | 0 comments
The amount of area Israel had before the 67 war should be the amount of area the Jewish state will have after an agreement, but it should be land that contains Jews not Arabs. This is so simple it should be obvious. The Arab population of pre-67 Israel is huge, and will grow, and if one adds some resettled refugees, it will not be viable as a Jewish state, and it is absurd to try to solve the problem of the Arab-Jewish wars by leaving very large Arab populations in what is supposed to be the Jewish state. The heavily settled areas in Judea-Samaria are the Jewish Biblical heartland, they should be part of Israel, whereas the Galilee and Negev areas heavily settled by Arabs should be part of a Palestinian state. This is so obvious that it is absurd that it is not the basis for negotiations.
