The world would be a better place without nuclear weapons but some lines once crossed cannot be uncrossed. The best case scenario is indefinite stalemate and a hope of countermeasures that someday render nuclear weapon useless. Until then less is more. As more countries tip toe up to and across the line and join the stalemate the world becomes an increasingly dangerous place.
