Netaneyahoo claim to seat of PM is, how do we say it in Idishe? Schvah? As far as assassination in Gaza goes, there is only one customer in Gaza today. It's not Israel. That Barak would sell IDF for such a gnarly job is not beyond belief. If he can be threatened politically he will use IDF for anything it agrees to be used for. And frankly Gaza wasn't Israel darling... They sure did bombard South for the past years and did cause much trouble. So, the sale wouldn't be all that difficult ( at the start ). Having said that, each rocket launch is different. And the past 2 days were distinctly different in patterns of actors on Gaza and Israeli sides. Which might indicate a concerted provocation by Israel. In that regard Benn's article is right on the money and a serious wake up call. And I am neither his ideological follower or admirer by any measure. He is truly aloof in his style and analysis and was actually caught on lies in the past. While each of us separately often drills self into a hole the chance that we both, looking from totally different angles at the situation are wrong are slim to none. There is another question, what will be IDF be asked to do ( and IAF specifically ) once reserves are called in. Attack Gaza, while 5 additional Iron Dome batteries can serve deterrence better than the whole army? At a fraction of cost? And most importantly, no lives lost??? You have got to be kidding yourself.
