By the way, the Jews did not invade Palestine. They settled in the country by purchading land. It is true, nonetheless that Palestine was already populated, but the Jews were a homeless - and persecuted - people. Thus, the partition of Palestine was totally legitimate - so that both the Jews and the Palestinians could have a state of their own. And please, don't tell me that the Jews were ofdered 55% of the territory. Until 1922, Jordan was part and parcel of "historic Palestine". Hence, the Jews were allocated 10% of the land only. However, unfortunately, the Palestinians refused to share the territory, they tried to destroy Israel and they lost. It's sad, but had they accepted a territorial compromise, they would've had their state a long time ago.
