    Your view is undone by facts. The fact is that Hamas has offered Israel a long term hudna, or cease fire, a period of nonj belligerency. Now, that would certainly allow for positive movement forward rather than a continuing environment of hostility. You may counter that such a move would be only tactical and not to be trusted, but then, you probably are of the view that any forward movement is not possible because Palestinians by nature are not to be trusted. But it is Israel that has refused to make any overtures to Hamas offers. Indeed, that is the main reason for the inhumane blockade Israel has thrown around Gaza. What we lear from this is thaqt Israel wants to radicalise all Palestinian factions and steal more land to establish demographic facts which they think are irreversable.
