    You have hit on the crux of the problem: misinterpretation. The Pope does NOT represent the 'Western World'; as I previously pointed out, there is a HUGE gulf between Catholics & Protestants. If any 1 religion represents the West it is Protestant Christianity, & even then, hardly anyone bothers with church these days. Secondly, if as you say, the majority of Muslims are against terrorism etc., why don't the leading clerics come out & unconditionally condemn the 'radical' few? Either way, this whole sorry story is a storm in a tea cup with rediculous reaction: 'Western attack on Islam!' Come on.... After all, who cares what some 14th century emporer did or did not say? Most of us never heard of him until last weekend; is this a good excuse for death & destruction???
