Kostas Plevris is a lawyer and not a historian. He was among the active supportes of the military coup in Greece (1967-1973) and a political successor of the Generals in the modern greek political scene. As he had been lost power by the years, he became one of the co-founders of the right party LAOS. His son is now member of the Greek Parliament with that party. The President of the Party and also now a Parliamentarian member raised a question in 2001 in the Greek Parliament, if the Jews were responsible for the terrorist acts in New York. Fron that moment, all the Greek Parties have raised strong critisism against LAOS about its close ties with the nationalist and antisemitic circles in Greece. Officially, LAOS is now keeping distance from Plevris' position against the Greek Jews and is refusing any connection with him. So, the problem is not only Kostas Plevris. Does this Party have the same ideas with him? Do the 270.000 voters (more than 3%) accept it?
