A definite tragedy, the event itself needs to be investigated and justice served where a crime has been comitted. However, drawing similarities between the Holocaust and Israel's realtions with the Palestinians is completely offensive to those who perished (or survided) the Holocuast. Further, it completely ignores the Palestinian responsibility for Israel's response to their actions. Though I long for the 2 people to live side-by-side in peace, I do not fool myself to thinking that the history of the land (say even the 100 years) was a land called Palestine in place of Isreal prior to '48 with a people called the Palestinians, and were invaded with European Jews - commenting on the establishment of Israel should also reflect the history of these Arabs. Peace to all - but if your going to draw equivalents between Israelies and Nazis (perpatrators) then do the same between European Jews and Palestinians (victims) and then you will see that the first is a bunch of whooey~!
