...he knows that he'll be asked by the people he'll face two meet two simple requirements: (1) Accept Israel's right to be - not only the fact that it is - to exist as the the nation-state of the Jewish people, and this based on historic, ethical and legal grounds. (2) Accept any peace agreement reached with Israel as the "end of the conflict". So far the leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) who control the Palestinian Authority (PA) have refused to accept these two points, contrary to the understanding of the entire international community. There can be only one way to understand this refusal: When placed together, the two points allow for Israel to test its opponents of their true intention. If the PLO continues to reject Israel's legitimacy and refuse to see a peace agreement as the "end of the conflict" that means that any such agreement is views by the Muslim-Arabs as a stage in their long-term drive to eliminate the illegitimate state of Israel from their point of view in stages, and such a "peace agreement" is nothing but one such stages. Therefore, people of true good will must demand of the Muslim-Arab leadership, local and regional, to accept Israel's legitimacy as the nation-state of the Jewish people - as they demand a nation-state for the Palestinian Arabs incidentally - and to accept that a peace agreement between the parties must be considered the "end of the conflict".
