I don't know what Ariel Toaff said or didn't say in his book. Because the book was published in Italian only, sold out quickly, and has not been reprinted, one may ask who among his local attackers has read "Pasque di Sangue". Hannah Arendt is still reviled for saying what she didn't say, 40 years ago, and recently Goetz Aly was condemned for saying what he didn't say. For the sake of justice, Toaff's book must be read first. It may be stupid, tactless, unscientific, incendiary and all the rest, but loud, ignorant protestations don't make a case.
