Just to let the jews over in Israel in on something, from where I sit (as an educated, 20 something American liberal Jew), Israel's # 1 enemy is the religious right in Israel who refuse to serve in the army, won't get a job to pay for their bills, and suck money and resources from the Jewish State (which my tax dollars help fund). There will always be security issues but the fact is the world is changing. And just like in any David and Goliath fight, the Palestinians are realizing that they will only get what they want through negotiations. Because of this, and because the occupation is not only fueling anti Israeli sentiment, but more importantly to me, anti American sentiment, Israel must negotiate in good faith. If that means giving back E. Jerusalem then do it, even if we keep the wailing wall and the whole place is under Israeli administration for the first few years. Israel is beginning to alienate its supporters every where and that is a dangerous thing.
