Let the term 'Israeli' be a national synonym for the word 'Jew' and all Jews of the world who are not citizens call themselves 'overseas Israelis'. It won't change legal standing. Such Israelis are still citizens in the country where they live and not Israeli citizens. However just like the descendants of the immigrants from Ramallah who came to the US in 1884 as 'Syrians' call themselves Palestinian Americans' , The descendents of those who were exiled from Judea, could call themseves 'overseas Israelis' or Israeli Americans, or Israeli Britons' etc as whatever term applies. This way 'Israeli' will on the ethno-national level mean 'Jew'and thus recognizing srael will mean recognizing a state of the entire Israeli people. As ror religion the religion is the ancient religion of Judea, or 'Jewish religion'.
