    Back when Ehud Barak was running for PM, I was at a Meimad event where he spoke. He told a story about visting a team from Sayeret Matkal, his old commando unit, when he was a general. He said that he saw a lot of the soldiers where wearing kippot and he asked if there where any kibbuznikim in the group (back in his day, the kibbutzim where disproportionately represented in elite units like sayeret matkal), 4 kids raised their hands and 3 of them where also wearing kippot, they were from Dati Kibbutzim.
